I stock three sizes of three different specialized photo printing materials: Smooth fine art canvas, watercolor paper, and luster finish paper. The sizes stocked are 8.5 x 11, 13 x 19 and 17 x 22. Any photo can be printed on any of the materials but usually there is one combination which is most desirable. I suggest what I think is the best material; if you wish one of the other materials contact me by email.
size of the material required rather than the actual image size of the largest high quality print I can make of the photo. I will make smaller prints on request. The process I use to produce the finished print takes about three days. Please anticipate that delay particularly if you request a size or material different from the one I recommend.
The price I ask for prints is partly based on the size and type of material it is printed on, rather than the area actually printed on. I will usually ship the entire sheet.
I don't do matting and framing. Framing shops can do a better job. Photos which are matted and framed are more expensive to ship and more likely to be damaged in shipment. I ship the prints in mailing tubes, which are strong and more difficult to deform than other practical choices. I suggest you take your print to a framing shop and let them deal with flattening, matting and framing the print. If you want to do it yourself here's a few suggestions. Use clean cotton gloves when handling the print as fingerprints compromise the archival quality of the print. Place a clean towel larger than the print on a flat surface and gently unbend and massage the print until it is more or less flat; then place another clean towel on top. Place a folded blanket or something similar on top and leave for a few days. That should cure most of the tendency to curl. Use the best quality acid-free mounting materials you can get. The front of the print has been treated to protect it from airborn contaminants and, to some extent uv radiation. Placement behind glass provides added protection. Illuminate with full spectrum incandescent lamps, not fluorescents. Prints on canvas may be stretched and then framed or hung unframed as you wish.
